Bio

Dr Matthew Stride is one of the leading consultants in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) in the UK. He qualified with honours from Imperial College in 2004 and proceeded to work in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and A&E Medicine becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians UK. He was the founding Consultant of Isokinetic London in 2012 having completed his Specialist Training in SEM including posts at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court and the Olympic Medical Institute. He has been the team doctor for Brentford FC from 2008 to 2019 and Chelsea FC Academy 2010-2012 as well as England Men U20s, England Women U21s and U16s. He has also Consulted for several rugby Premiership and Championship rugby clubs and County Championship cricket clubs and been a member of the Team GB medical team for 2012 Olympic games and 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Dr Stride feels strongly that the expertise and knowledge he has learned from working elite athletes should be available and applicable for all. Indeed he has contributed for the Department of Health on the utilisation and enrolment of SEM in the National Health Service.

At Isokinetic Dr Stride draws upon his deep clinical experience to ensure prompt diagnosis and rehabilitation plan to help support his patients reach the maximal functional result possible using the expertise and resources of the interdisciplinary team of physiotherapists, osteopaths and sport science at the centre.
